DRIVE MEDICAL ACQUIRES MEDICARE TECHNOLOGY
Drive Medical Acquires Medicare Technology Limited, a Leading Manufacturer and Distributor in the United Kingdom Port Washington, NY – December 20, 2007 - - Drive Medical, one of the leading manufacturers and distributors of durable medical products in the United States, announces that it has acquired Medicare Technology Limited (d/b/a, Wheeltech; “Medicare”), a major manufacturer and distributor of power mobility products, lift chairs, patient aids, and bathroom safety products in Europe. Medicare’s principal facility is located in West Yorks, United Kingdom from which it distributes its products throughout Europe including all of the UK, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Greece and other countries. The Managing Director, Richard McGleenan, will direct the operations of Medicare and play a significant role in Drive Medical’s continued expansion into the European marketplace. In addition, Mark Thompson, the Operations Director, and Kevin Beaumont, the Sales Director, will continue to oversee the operations and sales activities of Medicare. Drive Medical first entered the European market as of December 31, 2006 through its acquisition of Peter Endres, GmbH and Co. KG (“Endres”), a German manufacturer and distributor of bath lifts and mobility aids. According to Harvey P.
